The original Village Cafe was started in 1990 by Patrick & Susie Butier as a way to showcase Patrick's knowledge of French-American cuisine. The Butier's sold the restaurant to Tom Shaver in 2003. The restaurant continued to be a staple in Fayette County Georgia until 2008. In 2010, Mark Wurster & Philip Stark moved the Village Cafe to its current location at Togawatee Village and they continued the French American and Italian-American Southern cuisine.
