Well, we aren’t telling, but we are serving. Located smack in the heart of downtown Libertyville, Oscar Lee’s Barbecue gives meat the slow, smoky love it deserves. Chef Lee Kuebler’s flirtation with central texas-style barbecue has flowered into a full-blown obsession with tender prime brisket, juicy pulled pork and ribs so delicate they’re barely clinging to the bone. Order by the plate, slab or sandwich, and pair it with beef fat fries, mac and cheese, potato salad or whichever side you hear calling your name. Wash it down with an ice-cold beer, or order up one of our delicious barbecue-inspired cocktails. And save room for dessert! It would be a shame to let that tasty key lime pie or banana pudding slip by. Lee Kuebler is the founder and head Chef of Libertyville’s Milwalky Taco and the former Milwalky Trace, both known for their fresh ingredients, creative flavor combinations and immaculate attention to detail. And in case you’re wondering, Oscar Lee is a real dude. He’s taller than most people’s knees these days, and he’s a big fan of tantrums, vegetables and Dad’s barbecue.
